(2017 - ongoing)
For several years, I have been working on an autobiographical project, an intimate and personal account of what happens to me in life, an attempt to understand the present and process the past.
Born during a long journey of psychoanalysis, over the years it has become a way for me to express myself through texts and photographic self-portraits, composing a self-analysis aimed at revealing the mental processes behind my choices, my fears, and my desires.
The work consists of over a hundred photographs and accompanying texts, and explores my relationship with my family of origin and my late father, the end of my marriage, and the decision to leave my job in the family business in pursuit of self-realization.
For a long time, I shared these materials only with a few people, in the form of self-published books. Recently, however, I have been presenting the work in a performative way, projecting the images in front of an audience and reading the texts live: I believe that my presence is essential in this part of the work as well, with my voice, my posture, and my attitude, which are inseparable from my story.
